"The Bernoulli Society is an association within the International Statistical Institute (ISI), which provides a range of services for our Society, including membership administration, financial services, and legal advice. In return, we pay a fixed annual amount to the ISI for each Bernoulli Society member who is not also an ISI member. After having remained constant for many years, this contribution has now increased because of growing staff costs in the Netherlands, where the ISI's Permanent Office is located. The Executive Committee felt that we have no choice but to follow suit and increase the membership fees for Bernoulli Society members who are not also ISI members. The increase will be pro-rated for membership categories with a reduced fee; the Bernoulli Society will absorb the difference."— Johan Segers, Treasurer

Bernoulli Society and Royal Statistical Society David G. Kendall Award for Young Researchers – call for nominations
This joint BS and RSS Award is in honor of David G. Kendall, who was the first president of the Bernoulli Society, and was awarded the Guy Medal in Silver (1955) and in Gold (1981) of the RSS. The 2023 edition of the award is organized for young researchers in Mathematical Statistics. Nominees should be researchers with significant achievements and great potential in their research field, who are members of either the Bernoulli Society or the Royal Statistical Society, and who obtained their PhD after January 1st, 2015. The nomination process is open from April 1st and closes on June 30th. The award committee considers nominations and agrees a winner before September 30th. For complete call see: https://www.bernoullisociety.org/news
Willem van Zwet Medal awarded to Thomas Mikosch
The second awardee of the Willem van Zwet Medal is Thomas Valentin Mikosch (University of Copenhagen, Denmark). The Medal Ceremony is planned during the EMS 2023 in Warsaw. C.R. Rao Awarded 2023 International Prize in Statistics
C.R. Rao, a professor whose work more than 75 years ago continues to exert a profound inβluence on sci‑ ence, has been awarded the 2023 International Prize in Statistics. More details be found at https://www.isi2023.org/news/2023internationalprizestatistics/.
The European Meeting of Statisticians (EMS), sponsored by the European Regional Committee of the Bernoulli Society, is the main statistics conference in Europe. Statisticians of all ages and from all regions will meet to exchange ideas and discuss the latest developments in the broad field of statistics and probability theory. The next EMS will be held in Warsaw in July 2023. The registration deadline passed.
43rd Conference on Stochastic Processes and their Applications (SPA)
SPA Conferences are organised under patronage of the Bernoulli Society and can justifiably be regarded as the most important international scientific meeting on the theory and applications of stochastic processes. They are held annually except for the years when the World Congress in Probability and Statistics takes place. The next conference will be hosted by the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon. Although the submission deadlines passed, the registration deadline is July 8th. See https://www.spa2023.org/registration.
The European Young Statisticians Meetings is a series of conferences that is organized by and for young European statisticians under the auspices of the European Regional Committee of the Bernoulli Society. Participation is by invitation only.

XVI Latin American Congress of Probability and Mathematical Statistics (CLAPEM)
CLAPEM, promoted by the Latin American Society of Probability and Mathematical Statistics (SLAPEM) and the Latin American Regional Committee of the Bernoulli Society, is the main event in these fields in the region. A traditional program in a CLAPEM includes a series of short courses to introduce graduate students and young colleagues to major areas of current research and a series of invited plenary talks, invited sessions, and general poster and oral communication sessions. The authors of contributed sessions, talks, and posters have to pay the registration fee before June 10, 2023.
The congress series is organized by the International Statistical Institute (ISI) and the Bernoulli Society is participating in the series as an association of ISI. It brings together statisticians and data scientists from academia, health sector and business, junior and senior professionals, in an inviting environment. The regular registration deadline is June 15, 2023 (see https://www.isi2023.org/conferences/ottawa-2023/registration-fees/).
The Institute of Mathematical Statistics APRM will provide an excellent forum for scientific communications and collaborations for the researchers in Asia and the Pacific Rim, and promote communications and collaborations between the researchers in this area and those from other parts of the world. The program covers a wide range of topics in statistics and probability, presenting recent developments and the state of the art in a variety of modern research topics and in applications Invited session proposals are now being considered.
Bernoulli-IMS 11th World Congress in Probability and Statistics
Held every four years, the Congress is a worldwide event covering all branches of statistics and probability. This includes theoretical, methodological, applied and computational statistics and probability, as well as stochastic processes. The latest scientific developments in all of these fields are showcased. It will be held at The Department of Mathematics at Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany.
