The Willem van Zwet Medal ‐ Call for Nominations
A call for nominations for the Willem van Zwet Medal is now open.This biennial Bernoulli Society Medal aims to recognise special service to the Bernoulli Society. The Medal is in honour of Willem van Zwet, who served the Bernoulli Society and its aims in many special ways. The previous awardees were Maria Eulalia Vares (2021), Thomas Mikosch (2023) and Herold Dehling (2025). Nominees should have records of sustained and distinguished service to the Society. Nomination can be made of any member of the Bernoulli Society, who has not previously been elected President. Nominations should be sent by email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and should be signed by two members of the Bernoulli Society. They must include the name, affiliation, and brief curriculum vitae of the nominee, and a statement of no more than 1000 words summarising the case for nomination. The deadline for submissions of nominations is September 30th, 2026.
